Satan – his abominable influence over creation

By: Ahmad A. Sali, Al-Hj.

All men are vulnerable to Satanic influence except the pious and God-fearing. The fascination of songs and dances hinder men from the remembrance of God and the performance of prayer.

When the heavens and the earth and all between them were already in place, God (Allah S.W.T) announced to the Angels under heavens; and (remember) when your Lord said to the Angels; “Verily, I am going to place (mankind) generations after generations on Earth”. In protest, the angels said: “will you place therein those who will make mischief therein and shed blood while we glorify you with praises as thanks and sanctify you?” He (Allah S.W.T) said: “I know that which you do not know”.

Among the angels were called Jinn’s from which Satan or Iblis came. After Adam’s anatomy was fashioned out of altered mud and sounding clay and life breathed into it, God taught him the names of all things (nature of all things). The angels were asked to name them if they were truthful. They said: “Glory be to You, O! Allah, we have no knowledge except what you have taught us. Verily, it is you, the all-knower, the all-wise”. Qur’an 2:33.

Then the Angels were commanded to prostrate to Adam (A.S.) All did except Iblis or Satan. Satan alleged in boast that he is better than Adam (A.S). “you created me from fire, while you created him from dust.” For sheer disobedience Satan was expelled under wrath from Allah’s Grace and destined for the Hell Fire of eternity with those who fall with him-men and Jinns. Satan asked for and was granted respite till the day of resurrection to entice all the offspring of Adam into his Satanic life of play and amusement, corruptions and animosities. But only those that he can sway.

Adam and Eve were the first to be lured despite warnings not to approach the forbidden tree. Fortunately, they were forgiven after repentance.

Adam was created without father and mother. Eve was created with a father, no mother. Jesus Christ created with a mother, no father, to illustrate the power of Almighty Allah (S.W.T) to do all things as he pleases. Jesus Christ is consistently mentioned in the Holy Qur’an as son of Mary (Maryam). Not son of God or God. It’s not fitting to the majesty of God to have a son which in effect is attributing to him an animal instinct of SEX.

Of all the prophet – Messengers of God, Jesus Christ was most unfortunate. His own people, the Jews, wanted him dead for suspicion of aspiring to be king against Cesar. The Christians wanted him dead for their salvation or atonement of their sins. Why Jesus instead of the sinners? The Muslims love and revered him to this day as one of the Great prophets of God to the children of Israel.

Today’s World disorders are attributable to Satan’s abominable influence over men and nations. The havoc of wars appear to be fair-seeming. Wealth and powers, human and material resources are channelled not in the way God wants it but at the will and pleasure of the beholders. That unless and until man returns to the ways of his creator, Peace on earth will remain an empty dream. ###
