`Huge sun storms sending fire to earth’

LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you…” (Deuteronomy 28:15, the Holy Bible).

“HUGE SUN STORMS SENDING FIRE TO EARTH”: Again, so everyone will be forewarned (for being forewarned is being forearmed), I am reproducing here two reminders from the Bible about predictions that fire is coming to burn the earth, the sky, the sun, the stars and all the elements.

From Malachi 4:1-2: “…`Surely, the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,’ says the Lord Almighty. `Not a root or a branch will be left to them’…”

And from 2 Peter 3:10: “… But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare…”

Why these reminders? Because DiscoveryNews, in a dispatch dated May 11, 2012 (and forwarded to an Internet e-group by former UP Professor Cesar Torres), presented proof that an erupting region of the sun is now facing the earth and could send powerful coronal mass ejections which could trigger a powerful geomagnetic storm due to its sheer hugeness.

To those interested to read this item, the Internet link given by Prof. Torres for this story is It is significant to note from this dispatch that sun storms, which could send fire from the sun hurtling through space to earth, now appear to be regularly occurring, for one reason or another.

WHO WILL PINOYS BELIEVE: CORONA OR MORALES? Now, the Filipino people are being asked to choose whom to believe between Chief Justice Renato Corona or Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales on claims that Corona has more than US$10 million deposited in a number of banks in Metro Manila. Indeed, whom will Filipinos believe?

In the case of Morales, she will still have to prove two things: the truthfulness of her claims that she got a report from the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) allegedly detailing Corona’s US$12 million deposits, as well as the truthfulness of an AMLC report, assuming there is one.

JIMENO: NO AMLC REPORT ON DOLLAR DEPOSITS: The fact is that this early, defense counsel Karen Jimeno is already saying that AMLC’s executive director, Vic Aquino, is denying that AMLC ever submitted a report on the deposits. In short, Jimeno is saying, there is no report from AMLC at all.

In the case of Corona, he has upped the stakes, so to speak: branding Morales’ claims at the impeachment court last Monday, May 14, 2012, as nothing but a “lantern of lies”, he challenged Morales to resign if her claims are proven wrong. Morales is yet to respond and, already, the defense is asking what is taking her so long to take up Corona’s challenge.
