LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them…” (Hebrews 6:10, the Holy Bible).
“MAY GOD TAKE CARE OF YOU”: “Take care” is something that we usually say to others to denote that we care for them, or to tell them to be extra careful. But come to think of it, that is a puny statement to make, because there is really nothing that anyone can do to take care of himself or herself. It is only God who can take care of anyone, for He is the powerful Creator of the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1 of the Bible).
The best thing to do therefore is to tell our loved ones that “may God take care of you”. This is not just an expression that conveys our feelings, but, more importantly, it is our prayer to God to keep those that we love safe and sound all the time. Starting today, therefore, let us tell everyone “may God take care of you”.
The truth is that, God loves the world so much He gave us His only begotten Son, and all of us who trust and have faith in Him will not perish but will have everlasting life (John 3:16). The God who gave His Son for us will also take care of all of us and our needs (Romans 8:32). So, to our dear readers here, may God take care of you.
SO WHAT IF ANNABELLE RAMA IS RUNNING? So what if Annabelle Rama is running for congresswoman of one of Cebu City’s congressional districts? Are her critics saying that, just because she is a movie actress, she has no right to aspire for a public position or be elected by the people anymore?
The greatest proof that movie stars can be good elected officials is Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos, called the “star for all seasons” in Philippine cinema and yet is running the province so well no one wants to fight her anymore. I could have suggested someone else, higher in position, but too many scandals hounded him.
JESSICA SANCHEZ ALREADY AN “AMERICAN IDOL”: Whatever happens to Jessica Sanchez now, whether she clinches the top post in the “American Idol” contest or not, a very bright future already awaits her in the field of entertainment.
If she becomes the “American Idol” for 2012, that is already an added gravy to the victory she has already achieved in the field of international entertainment, where her singing style is already being hailed as one of the best in the world. That is already a point to profusely thank God for.
WHY NO DETAILS, AMLC? Of course, officials of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) are now saying they will stand by the report that they allegedly sent to Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales relative to the supposed US$12 million deposits of Chief Justice Renato Corona.
But one thing stands out here: why are the officials not also disclosing details of the alleged deposits to prove that those deposits really exist, just like what Morales failed to do when she appeared before the Senate? Why are they limiting themselves to saying they are standing by the report, nothing more? Afraid of violating the anti-money laundering law if they released the details?
