(THE WORD): THERE ARE 2 GREATEST COMMANDMENTS OF GOD FOR MANKIND TO HEED. AND THIS SPELLS THE WHOLE MEANING OF ALL 10 WRITTEN COMMANDMENTS GIVEN US THROUGH MOSES.
“LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL.”;
2.) “LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF.”
GOD GOES FURTHER, “LOVE YOUR ENEMY”—THAT MEANS DON’T HATE THEM, INSTEAD PRAY THAT THEY’LL BE ENLIGHTENED, BLESSED, AS GOD SAYS: “VENGEANCE IS MINE…”
GOD WILL ENLIGHTEN OUR ENEMIES IN MANY WAYS.
TENSION obviously has lessened among our folks, now can be seen relatively at ease while doing their shopping in normal ways for the first time, since the bloody attack of the defeated Misuari- wing MNLF forces unfolding brazenly in our midst that fateful dawn of Monday(Sept. 9).
MORE VEHICLES, MORE PEOPLE SEEN ON STREETS
MORE public conveyances and other means of transportation are pouring the major streets now—a semblance of our going back to our stable and normal lives that ZC is known for since time immemorial.
ONLY DISRUPTED BY ‘ALIENS’
OUR peace & order here gets erratic, and tends to worsen every now & then, due to the hostile activities of a number of ‘transient’ people who try to influence or impose their will upon us true-blooded Zamboangueños-- always acting as their hospitable hosts, welcoming them with both arms, on condition: “They act like the Romans do,” as well, when in our place.
BUT, as it turns out, Zamboangueños are now being pushed to the wall-- many of them have opted to stay home away from home—meaning, to avoid danger lurking right in their own home-place/s, they spirit away, most have gone abroad and stay there for good.
THAT’s the price we pay for being too hospitable in a wrong direction(though not all, of course).
“Nusa’y clase custumbre tamen kta mga Zamboangueño, manada kta pordemas tampa bueno. Tiene lli, bende pa su tereno maski cunkien lang basta the price is right,” c Bogs ya tamen ya critica..
AFP READY TO TURNOVER AFFECTED AREAS IF..
THE AFP/PNP has made it verily clear during last Friday afternoon’s press-con(Sept. 27) called by the Crisis Management Committee(CMC) headed by lady Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar, that they’re more than willing to turnover all areas worst affected in the ZC standoff, as a result of the Misuari-led MNLF dawn attack on Sept. 9, if these areas will already be declared as completely and safely cleared and removed of all armed threat/s -- including the reported unexploded ordnance(bombs) and pockets of resistance from these yet adamant but vanquished MNLF infiltrators still teetering danger behind.
ACCORDING to the AFP/PNP combined assessment reports (though, they slightly differ in figures?) as of Sept. 27(Friday) to the media in the same press briefing: on the MNLF side—KIA(166); WIA(186)with 246 who were either arrested/captured or surrendered. On the government side—KIA(18); WIA(166); Civilians killed(12); wounded(72 with 9 hit by stray bullets); six(6) hostages killed with 186 others either rescued/escaped or released. Enemy firearms recovered/captured/ yielded: (172).
MAYOR BENG APPEALS AS USUAL..
MAYOR Beng Climaco-Salazar, on same press briefing, issued her strong appeal with passion, to the whole populace, not to be swayed easily by unconfirmed and unverified text messages they received from even hostile sources.
This, she stressed, could only cause undue panic and sow chaos and disturbance to the whole public.
If they received such suspicious text messages, they better course all of them to the proper authorities, like the AFP’s Western Mindanao Command(Westmincom) or the PNP.
She said this is part of the propagandists out to create a scenario for their own ulterior motives, to the detriment of the Zamboangueños staying put at all cost, in here mi ciudad de Zamboanga.
MAYOR BENG IS STRONG WOMAN..
“Mayor Beng is, I so found out, indeed, a strong woman. I never saw her cry amid the whole period of this bloody crisis. Yes, she got emotional and felt very compassionate for her own suffering people, but she has managed to stand on and move on for the sake of us Zamboangueños,” noted one of her top city hall aides who requested his name not be mentioned.
COUNCILOR MYRA VALDERROZA ABUBAKAR STRONG AS WELL.
Dist. 1 lady Councilor Myra Paz V. Abubakar is a strong-willed woman as well. Since assigned as In-Charge of the relief collections from various donors, she has proven herself consistently and tirelessly steering well the seemingly knit system done to smoothen everything under her care.
“She has never left her post since day one of the crisis,” confirmed one source working at SP.
Despite, the mountain-like pileups of all types of donations( either big or small) seen inside the massively crammed SP complex, at certain days during the crucial standoff period, the situation in there, has never ever given them an additional huge burden.
With the leadership they all fall under as ordered organized by Mayor Beng with City Hall Administrator Antonio “Jun” Orendain at the helm of it all, how could they ever fail?
“Deberas se, pencing, c Palo Alto lli silencio lang pero’ he’s the guy with all local elective city officials throwing all their support on him, to reckon with, no matter who reigns City Hall as the city’s chief executive.
“Poreso’ gane’ cunese ya man re-appoint c Mayor Beng, cay all mayors he has worked with from the late Ma’am Caling Lobregat to her son Celso now Dist. 1 Congressman, he’s never faltered nor has wavered his loyalty to all of them,” c Bogs sabe cosa le ta combersa.
More unsung heroes during this unforgettable crisis in mi ciudad de Zamboanga, are deserving to be acknowledged by this corner.. We need to commend them as well, cay c nuay sila, achieving back the peace we have been craving to return, can hardly happen in this short period of time that we have been yearning that much…
