Peace and success for Filipinos: how?

PDFPrintE-mail

LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… when you and your children return to the Lord your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I command you today, then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you…” (Deuteronomy 30:2, the Holy Bible).

HOW WILL PEACE AND SUCCESS COME TO FILIPINOS? Assuming that the predictions of a bloody people power revolt in 2013—such as the one that was made by world-famous psychic Danny Atienza in a news forum last Thursday—will indeed topple President Aquino from power, will that signal real reform and beneficial change in the way future leaders will govern the Philippines?

Will not those who will take over the country’s leadership after Aquino’s predicted downfall remain corrupt and immoral, in the same way that those who took over the reigns of government in 1986 and 2001 remained corrupt and immoral and, therefore, were unable to do any better than their predecessors?

What is it that Filipinos should do, aside from kicking out their presidents and leaders in peaceful revolutions which have come to be known worldwide as “people power” revolutions, to attain lasting peace and genuine reform and economic success,  and victory over graft, godlessness, self-conceitedness, and debilitating poverty?

FILIPINOS NEED TO SEEK GOD’S COUNSEL NOW: Truth to tell, it is scaring me real well now that the only thing that Filipinos seem capable of doing nowadays is to successfully cause the removal of their presidents and leaders, through protests and mass actions, in the guise of asserting their right to participate in political decision-making under the concept of “people power” which the 1987 Constitution of the first Aquino presidency institutionalized in this country.

In fact, what is principally bothering me no end along this line is that, aside from sending our people en masse to other countries for grossly disadvantageous and dangerous employments with abusive masters, the only other claim to world fame of our countrymen is their capacity to fight and oust their leaders, notwithstanding clear spiritual admonition and injunctions against it.

Nobody seems interested anymore to find a solution that would not require anyone of us to rise up against our leaders and officials of government. Nobody seems concerned anymore about teaching our people what God wants us to do to find true solutions to our long-festering problems which have remained not only unresolved but which have even greatly aggravated through the years, the efforts of past leaders to solve them notwithstanding using so-called “practical” human solutions.

DEATH AND DESTRUCTION AWAIT FILIPINOS, UNLESS WE GO BACK TO GOD: Undeniably, the national slide to destruction among Filipinos is continuing, and this degeneration is becoming much faster and beyond the control of anyone, and is coming to a point where it is already unstoppable. Clearly, the puny efforts of all our leaders in the past—and even of our leaders at present—failed to yield any relief. The death and destruction of the Filipino race are just around the corner now.

We have been told that we are all perishing as a people for lack of knowledge. We have been warned that unless we humble ourselves and pray, seek God, and turn from our wicked ways, we will all die and perish, and will be yoked with great difficulties and sufferings, never before experienced, and never again to happen to us.

We have been told that, unless and until we listen go God and obey His commands, all of His curses will come upon us and overtake us, exactly in the way that is now happening to all of us. The only alternative and option therefore to avoid this death and destruction is for us and our children to go back to God—accept Jesus as our God and Savior, and listen to His Word and obey His commands once again. If we do this now, God may yet relent and spare the Philippines of its dark future!
