THE WORD: “ WHEN A MAN LISTENS AND OBEYS THE WORD OF GOD, HE’S LIKENED TO A WISE MAN WHO BUILDS HIS HOUSE ON A STRONG FOUNDATION THAT NOT ANY DESTRUCTION OF SORT CAN TOPPLE IT.
BUT, WHEN A MAN LISTENS HIS WORD BUT DOESN’T OBEY IT, HE’S LIKENED TO A FOOLISH ONE WHO BUILDS HIS HOUSE ON A SOFT GROUND LIKE THE SAND THAT IT SIMPLY GETS TOPPLED DOWN WHEN DESTRUCTION FROM RAINS, FLOODS AND/OR STRONG WINDS COME.”
ON CURFEW uproar— like I said, it’s somewhat like a pariah to most if not all businessmen, as they just abhor its mere mentioning.
Why? Well, to them, it’s self-explanatory. Any upright businessman will tell us that he wants to gain nothing more but profits, in the first place.
THE more profits, the better for his business to thrive.
THAT’s why our local business community is insistently asking the same query all over again.
“WHEN will this curfew thing be completely lifted?”
ZCPO Officer-In-Charge (OIC) Dennis Basngi assessed the city’s peace & order condition right now as on its right tract towards normalcy.
“It is gradually returning to normalcy,” Basngi described the city’s peace & order at present.
IT was also learned from Basngi, according to my grapevine who stayed behind as I left much earlier from the council’s regular session last Wednesday morning(Nov. 13) to catch my deadline, that the crisis in mi ciudad de Zamboanga is now over.
THIS is the very reason why the council passed a resolution urging for the abolition of the Crisis Management Commission(CMC). The move stemmed from Dist. 1 Councilor Melchor Sadain.
WILL this approved Sadain motion cause a whim or a wriggle from our lady Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar in her ‘couch’ at City Hall?
ISN’T only the CMC chair has the final say on whether to abolish it or not at this point in time?
“ESE el question pencing, quire quita sabe, c tiene ba derecho el conseho para manda termina cunese CMC,” c Bogs ya man pa sabe ya tamen.
THE business sector, what I learned, is wary over the proclivity of our lady mayor to project herself like a wretch or a chilled wren so pitiful to see the weakness in them.
“MAYOR Beng should instead project a strong and courageous face in any crucial or critical times. She shouldn’t allow herself to appear like begging for help. It won’t help her, and even our city, at all,” noted the business group.
BUT, with all due respect, they shun from being judgmental on Beng’s rookie days in City Hall.
“Right now, we are non-committal in rating her yet too early reins in City Hall,” the group added.
ANOTHER reputable group in mi ciudad de Zamboanga described a great deal Mayor Beng’s burgeoning administration.
“SHE is the only one who dared to challenge frontally a top MNLF leader like its own Overall Chieftain Nur Misuari. And she’s isn’t bluffing at all. I dearly admire her being a great leader. She did the right decision when she virtually declared an all-out-war against the Misuari’s MNLF breakaway group that month of Sept.,” one top journalist hinted.
“I guess Mayor Beng Climaco did the right move when she opted to fight it out with the MNLF infiltrators, otherwise this repeated MNLF threat in ZC will persistently cower us in fear,” one radical group here disclosed.
“Their(MNLF) intention to raise their own flag in ZC is one symbolic step they want to win over us— as it’ll have a global repercussion against us and will even propel their objective to largely enhance their image abroad— especially in the Middle East, where the Organization of Islamic Conference(OIC) is based,” deduced another local group.
I’ve been tapping on the variance in opinions & views of people from all walks of life in mi ciudad de Zamboanga— from its multi-sectoral groups and/or organizations laying down their cards in their effort to dutifully assess the early reins of our lady Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar whom we relatively look up to as the city’s late legendary Mayor Cesar C. Climaco’s one true niece who won’t put her own late uncle to a big sham & shame at all.
“Ohala era pencing,” ya umenta pa ste Bogs que hinde’ siempre ta atrasa na mga pasaplit..
