“Critics add color to my life”

THE true temple of God is the body of mankind free of the unrighteous seed. This is being manifested by the begotten Son himself when he came here in the flesh and assumed a Jewish body named as Jesus Christ more than 2,000 years ago: “Destroy this temple, and in 3 days it’ll rise again.” He was referring to His Body, although the Jewish people then didn’t understand what he meant by that because all they thought Jesus was referring to the Temple of Solomon built in gold and considered the most expensive ever built as the House of God in the Jewish age. They failed to grasp the real meaning of what he truly meant, but now well understood as the Temple of GOD when He saith those words. (Words of enlightenment).

“Just follow the law. We have to put our foot forward in implementing all the ordinances & resolutions as mandated by law,” emphasized City Administrator Antonio G. Orendain, Jr. when interviewed the other day prior to New Year’s Eve celebration.

Orendain said further: “We cannot go wrong, no matter how harsh is the law, but the law is the law.”

Orendain, who has served under three city executives—then (the late lady) Mayor Maria Clara L. Lobregat, former Mayor and now Dist. 1 Congressman Celso Lobregat and under current lady Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, appears unperturbed when came supposedly under fire from the critics, particularly during the two large crisis that struck ZC last Sept. and onward.(These twin crisis were the almost a month-long bloody siege authored by the MNLF-Misuari armed group that sparked last Sept. 9 and right away rendered under serious inundation spawned by a super storm).

“For me, it doesn’t matter, whatever the people are saying (against me). What’s more important to me, as long as I know I’m doing the right thing and as long as my family believes that I’m doing right, that’s the most important thing in my life,” pointed out Orendain.

Orendain said he’s serving under the pleasure of lady Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar.

“If my boss feels she still needs me, then I’m here to continue serving her. But, if she feels that she needs to change me, then I’ll welcome her decision. I’m under here whims and decisions,” Orendain declared.

“We pray and hope our luck will change for the better. And, there’s only one way to do it. That’s to pray to our Almighty to give us direction to lead people in ZC,” Orendain implored.

Orendain, likewise, is highly optimistic that the temporary relocation of all the over a hundred thousands of evacuees displaced by the twin crisis late last year, would go on smoothly.

“Hopefully that by next year(2014), we’ll start the permanent rehabilitation of all the evacuees in these affected areas like Rio Hondo, Mariki, Sta. Barbara and Sta. Catalina,” the city administrator enthused.

“Bien hopeful gayot diaton City Administrator Palo Alto, cay puede el ciudad alivia el mga bida’ destos mga displaced evacuees. Pero’ pencing, incluhido ba se cosa ta roga c Palo Alto contodo ya canaton mga Zamboangueño ke ya sale tamen bien traumatized?” c Bogs ta questiona ya tamen.

“They (critics) add color to my life. Siempre era’, nuay mas ya critics, but always there are the positives as well as the negatives. I’ll just like to thank them, because I try to even work harder and prove myself to them,” hinted Dist. 1 lady Councilor Myra Paz V. Abubakar over the weekend.

The lady city legislator said she’s optimistic for year 2014 “that’ll prove better than 2013.”

“No matter what happens in our life, God is there to guide us and won’t forget us at all,” Councilor Abubakar entreated.

The 2nd termer-lady councilor informed, as well, the plans of the Philippine Councilors’ League(PCL) to hold its national convention in May (5-7) this year(2014) in Manila. The lady councilor is presently the PCL-9 President, the first time that a Zamboangueña was elected to such a post.
