LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you…” (James 1:5, the Holy Bible).

HAVE YOU BEEN “BORN OF GOD”? How fast time flies! It seemed just like yesterday that we were celebrating Christmas and New Year. Yet, it is now the fourth month of the year, April 2014. In just a while, we will be finishing our commemoration of Lent, then schools would reopen for another school year, then it is Christmas and New Year all over again. In all these, what has become of our lives?

Were we meant to simply live our days and then be lost from this earth forever? Is that all there is to life? After being born, after growing up, the only destiny for every man is death? I am sure there is something more to life than this! I am sure we are all here on earth for a reason. What could this be? Why were we put on earth in the first place?

This is a very gripping question for many, one which may never be answered even in a lifetime. But for us who have been “born of God” by becoming “Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ”, there is a reason why we have been born. We believe that we have been chosen by God, before creation yet, to fulfill God’s purpose during these end times---to preach the Word and save souls. Want to join? Or, do you have questions? PRAYERFUL GIRL TOPS CLASS: I congratulate six year old Raissa Joyce Pascual, the daughter and only child (as of now) of Pastors Ronald Pascual and Osmin Joyce Pascual of the Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo (Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ) Church, for finishing at the top of her grade one class (first honors) at the Lagro Elementary High School in Quezon City.

During her class’ recognition day last March 31, 2014, Raissa was also given accolades, in front of her beaming parents who are themselves topnotchers, as the champion (first place) in the MTAP Congressional District Level, as second placer in “A-1 Child Congressional District Level”, and as participant in “Team Oral Competition” (MTAP Division Level).

On January 16, 2014, Raissa also garnered first place, individual category, at the Metrobank-Department of Education National Capital Region Math Challenge. Her team, which consisted of her other grade one classmates, landed third place overall in the competition. Raissa attributed these achievements to her daily prayers to God, seeking knowledge, wisdom and understanding! Congratulations!!!

WAR JITTERS IN MINDANAO: War jitters started to grip Mindanao once again, after the Aquino government signed its Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. An item in the online version of “MindaNews” featured a gathering of the armed members in North Cotabato of the vigilante group “Mindanao Ilaga Movement”, to prepare “for any scenario” that may ensue after the signing of the agreement. Peace, really, has become more elusive!

NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT CHINA INVASION: Now I understand why there is no interest on the part of the government to really disclose what is happening at the disputed Spratly Islands. As shown by a news photo in a major newspaper, it is really a “no-contest” between the Philippines and China, what with the dilapidated warships and starving soldiers on the Philippine side! It looked like we are just waiting for the invasion to occur, because, really, there is nothing else that we can do about it!

BIBLICAL WARNINGS HAPPENING IN RP: Even before the ink dried on our column about foreigners abusing Filipinos right in our own country as the Bible in its Book of Deuteronomy warned all of us, reports came out saying Filipino pilots of a Cebu Pacific chartered flight to Shanghai, China were virtually detained by their Chinese passengers at the Kalibo Airport, while a Filipino policeman who tried to intervene was punched in his face. The warnings are happening, right?
