News headlines confirm Bible warnings

PDFPrintE-mail

LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…However, if you no longer listen to the Lord your God, and no longer obey His commands… all these curses will come on you and overtake you…” (Deuteronomy 28:15, the Holy Bible).

NEWS HEADLINES CONFIRM BIBLICAL WARNINGS: More and more, news headlines around the world confirm Biblical prophecies against man’s turning away from God, by his refusal to read His Bible and obey His commands. Yet, many continue to deny the growingly evident connection between these occurrences, particularly those dealing with calamities brought about by global warming and climate change, and the prophecies in the Bible.

In fact, even supposedly “practicing and devout Christians” seem to be missing this point, as they continue to insist that the prophecies concern only the believers of the Old Testament of the Bible, and not present-day believers. But this is deadly wrong, as it is unfortunately preventing us from pursuing the appropriate Biblical remedies against global warming and climate change.

PROPHECY ON GLOBAL WARMING: Let us start off with the warning by the weather bureau, or PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration), that temperatures in the Philippines will continue to rise, even as Metro Manila already sizzled with 36.6 degrees Celsius last Monday, 19 May 2014, a record breaker for this year.

The warning is that, the “ Lord will strike you with… scorching heat and drought… the sky over your head will be bronze, and the ground beneath you stand  iron”, under Deuteronomy  28:15, 22 and 23 of the Bible. These calamities will be sent by God to a people who longer listen to, and who no longer obey, Him, says the Bible. Please read these verses carefully.

RAINS, FLOODS, WINDS: Then, at the same time, warnings are also being issued for possible deadly floods in the Mindanao area in view of an incoming weather disturbance, even as heavy floods, the first in almost one hundred years, submerged many areas in Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia, causing the forced evacuation of hundreds of thousands.

The warning, made by Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, is contained in Matthew 7:24-27. Jesus said the rains, floods and winds will come, and those who listen to Him but do not obey Him will certainly die. On the other hand, Jesus said that those who listen to Him and obey Him will live, and be spared from death and destruction.

OFW SUFFERINGS PREDICTED, TOO: What is more, the sufferings being experienced by overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the hands of their foreign employers, the latest of which was that inflicted on a Filipino maid in Riyadh whose employer doused her with boiling water, can also be read in Deuteronomy 28:15 and 32. This Biblical verse talks about our children being sent abroad, and us being unable to do anything to help them in times of trouble.

FOREIGNERS GETTING RICHER, PINOYS GETTING POORER: Foreigners lording it over Filipinos in our own country is prophecy found in Deuteronomy 28:15, and 42-43. This particular prophecy says that the foreigners who live among us will rise higher and higher, while we go down lower and lower. The reason? We no longer listen to God, and no longer obey Him. Just look around our country and the evidence is all too clear. Foreigners own the Philippines now!

PROPHECY ON ABUSE AND PLUNDER: There are more dire Biblical prophecies happening right here in the Philippines, of course, but we will talk about them later. To close this column today, however, I wish to reiterate the prophecy in Deuteronomy 28:29, about the people being abused, robbed and plundered, with no one among our political leaders, from the administration and opposition, being able to help them. May God have mercy on us for our refusal to listen to His Word!
