(BY: JUN FELICIANO) THE WORD:
“I was hungry and you fed me,. I was thirsty, and you gave me druin. I was a stranger, and you invite me into your home. I was naked, you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.” Then, these righteous ones will reply: “Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or nake and give you clothing? When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?
And, the King will say,” I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me” Then the king will turn to those on the left and say, “Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. For I was hungry and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked and youd didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.” Then they will reply, “Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?” And, he will answer,” I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.” And they’ll go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”(Matthew 25: 35—46)

JESUS Christ was citing an allegory in real life. And, when doing all these deeds or misdeeds to the least in life, we’re doing them either in his favor or none to his favor at all. Without our knowing it, when we do it to them, we’re actually do them either in his sake or not at all. And, in this manner, it’ll spell our fate—either to be with him in heaven or cast away into the lake of fire. Email: email@example.com
THERE’s this ongoing predicament in the current relentless campaign of the LTO-9 in here— particularly in ZC where our law enforcers, out to aggressively crack down on all forms of traffic violations, have been found that so strict, yet a number of them aren’t that wary and circumspect enough that they’re even exercising their vested power arbitrarily beyond their limit.
THAT only shows they don’t know what they ought to enforce or what they ought not to ever attempt at all, that’s contrary, or not found at all in the law.
LAST Tuesday afternoon( Aug.12), a segment of those ‘violators’ apprehended by our (LTO-9) law enforcers, trooped to the LTO main office in Pettit Barracks and questioned as to why their vehicles were flagged down by its field personnel for not carrying with them the so-called “Early Warning Device”
WHEN finally the law was cited and bared to all and sundry, in their presence, it explicitly states under its Rep. Act 4136 that failure to carry such EWD device is not a violation at all.
‘What makes it a gross violation is when their vehicles develop a breakdown while travelling, and when caught on the spot without the required “Early Warning Device,” they can be apprehended, and thereby, imposed the necessary penalty or fine,” one legal luminary disclosed.
IT was gathered that when caught for such a supposed violation, LTO fines outright its now increased penalty- the onerous amount of P5,075!

THE city council on Tuesday morning, during its regular session(Aug. 12), passed a resolution( actually 2 separate motions from the floor), and its supposed urgency, amongst which being sought are: for our lady Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar to strongly lead the city in making an earnest representation on the national level, for the early transfer of our Zamboanga City International Airport(ZCIA) to its suitable site somewhere in the east-coast; for the immediate holding of an executive/legislative special committee to call for an airport summit to be attended by the top brasses of the different lead gov’t agencies and/or departments, the likes of DOTC Sec. Jun Abaya, National Development Authority(NEDA), Mindanao Development Authority (MinDa), DPWH and others, not to forget the Civil Aviation Authority(CAA), formerly the Air Transportation Office (ATO).
THIS all boils down to our desperate longing for a modern airport at par with those already built in Davao City, Cagayan de Oro City and now General Santos City.
THEY are all in one frantic cry for its immediate (airport) transfer, that being the case on their part, as ZC is pitifully lagging behind in terms of progress and development, compared to other key cities and/or provinces that are now booming through leaps and bounds, to our own chagrin.
AND, it was very clear what MinDA Regional Dir. Paeng Evangliesta, when asked to give his honest-to-goodness opinion, that what our city needs is a strong champion” to do his/her utmost best for the good of ZC.
Dir. Evangelista categorically stated that this is what our city lacks—that’s to champion the city’s dire needs right now— like the urgent need for its airport transfer to a better site, and for its construction with all promptness.
“Debe kita igual cunel maranao, ta menai gayot(We should be like the maranaos when they move),” urged Councilor Charlie Mariano.
“Na, mayor Beng, dol cuntigo man gat ste taman address sila, cay tu man el mayor ki,” c Bogs ta ase su abiso cunel alcaldesa aton.
“Hinde’ lang cun Mayor Beng, debe todo aton mga oficales local ki. Cosa sila, de sinta, sinta lang lli? Manada gane’ canila ta reclama, cay manada di-ila nuay na oficina ila, ta deha lang sila cunel mga hente ila lli. Pirmi yalang dao, ta manda man bira, bira,” c Ador ta abisa.
IF I may recall, the sad anecdote of then local airport chief Celso Bayabos, when invited by the council in the past, revealing the real truth why the plan to transfer the ZCI airport was derailed, “El council man kel tiempo ya para duru contra cunese plano para transfiri ya cunel diaton airport para na Mercedes(It was the council itself, as strongly opposing our airport transfer to Mercedes, at that time).”
NOW, it was further disclosed by NEDA itself, through its representative Marolet Mercado, during the council session on Tuesday, that just very recently, it was discovered that the barangay in Mercedes where the supposed modern airport will rise, isn’t just conducive/ ideal to build an airport, after all.
