Mary (the Blessed Mother of Jesus) is the only woman who is mentioned by name in the (Holy) Qur’an, there is an entire chapter in the Qur’an entitled “Maryam”. She is mentioned 34 times in the Qur’an much more than in the Bible.

A MONTH OF GREAT JOY

As Christendom prepares for the advent of Christmas the Islamic World, anticipates  with joyful expectation because Rabbil-Anwal, is the birth month of the Holy Prophet (from December 23, 2014- January 20, 2015). The Holy  Prophet Muhammad was born according to Islamic tradition the 12th of Rabbil Awwal (the year of the Elephant), thus, indeed, December is a month of Great Joy for 2014 (for Muslims and Christians) living in solidarity in Zmaboanga with good reasons, no other place, except, in this noble city.

ON CLEANLINESS

The city is still dirty, littered with all sorts of trash! Why? Observers have noted, there is no system in cleaning our downtown area unlike in other cities  and places a system was initiated, the result is cleanliness!

An example, when the city was administering the CR at the Plaza Pershing the said CR was the dirtiest CR in town, now is the cleanest. The private contractor has a system.

Back to the City, if an Ordinance is enacted specifying how and when the cleaning is done, then we will see some changes in the cleanliness of the city.

For instance, business establishment should be required to clean the front of their stores, offices, this include the vendors  plying their trade on the sidewalk,  to clean their areas then we can see cleanliness everyday.

This boils down to system. My God! We can innovate in doing things for the public good? #
