AS I said, the Truth hurts but if we just accept the Truth, the hurt will just go away. “I’m the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.”
IT further reveals (in the Scriptures) about what abhors God: “You must not have any other god but me. You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods.” (Exodus 20: 3-5). Email: email@example.com
CELSO VS. BENG LOOMS AS BATTLE ROYALE
POLITICAL analysts here are getting more inquisitive about the supposed very obvious “body language” being openly shown by our top local officials aimed to vie for local posts in the upcoming 2016 presidential/local elections.
“We are very much more keen on these two political giants of ours. And, you know who they are: our incumbent Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar and erstwhile Mayor and now Dist. 1 Cong. Celso Lobregat. Bien claro ya gayot,” amongst local media practitioners mumbled about in one corner in their lull, after being present in their separate X’mas parties tendered exclusively for our local media sector. Beng’s was held (Dec. 8?) while that of Celso came later( Dec. 30?).
“We heard our lady mayor(Beng) in the last CH press briefing, declaring, in giggling manner, that she’s raring to file her candidacy, probably by October, and such an early pronouncement on her part only manifests her intense interest to stay put in City Hall,” one from the group hinted.
“Depende se cunel mga vivientes quien cumigo ya pone na puesto…” she chuckled while making such a disclosure.
FOR his part, Cong. Celso( Lobregat), during his own X’mas party for the media here, strongly dropped hints he’s more interested to return to City Hall, instead of seeking re-election in his district(1) for the Lower House.
I vividly took notice, as well, when Cong. Celso L. was just too happy when most of the some 200 members of the fourth estate here who attended the Lobregat X’mas bash for the media that night staged in one of the classy hotels on Gov. Camins Ave., willingly obliged to suit up the familiar Celso Lobregat’s red t-shirt with its known logo: “Adelante Zamboanga,” more for posterity shots.
EVERYBODY present in that event, heard loud and clear what Cong. Celso tried to bring across a strong statement( amid all those snap shots): “Este para 2016..” PRECEEDING to it, Cong. Celso was looking for his official photographer but couldn’t just locate him/her at that moment in time. AND, suddenly, City Hall’s photo-journalist Joey Bautista appeared from nowhere, prompting Cong. Celso to brashly comment: “Este photographer hinde’ dimiyo, d Beng este,” that drew laughters from the media crowd.
“Na, cosa paman se quiere decir bosing?” c Bogs man ya ladra.
“Cosa kita bobo para entende. Bien visto ya gayot se mga estilo di-ila,” ya segunda ladra c Ador.
“Mio se sila mga idols,” acaba ya kita cuneste c Nado, quiere ste man sierra, sierra.
ELDERLY GRIPES VS. DRUGSTORE
AN elderly ex-kagawad of Brgy. Sinunuc on Wednesday morning(Jan. 7), while in the office of Dist. 2 Councilor Atty. Kim Elago II, couldn’t conceal his frustration and desperation, as his senior citizen ID card wasn’t honored by one big pharmacy establishment here, when he tried to buy his “maintenance” medicines worth more than P600.00
Silverio Ledesma 63, vowed to bring his formal complaint to OSCA( Office of Senior Citizens Adm.), as he knows darn well that there’s now an existing law that affords all senior citizens the right to avail the 20% discount, as allowed by law.
THE lawyer-councilor (Kim Elago II), listening intently to his gripe, revealed that one of the stiff penalties that can be imposed on any business establishments, violating the 20% discount granted to the elderly, under the law, is outright closure of their stores.
THE complainant said the drugstore concerned is located within downtown section of this city.
He said he’s ready to identify the drugstore concerned in his official complaint with OSCA, “to teach them a lesson, as they cannot just a make a mockery of our law.”
