WHEN Jesus Christ felt hungry, asleep, thirty and died, that was his human nature, as his mother Mary is a human being.
WHEN the Lord Jesus healed the sick, drove the evil spirit from man, let the crippled walk, and the Lord eventually rose from death, he showed his divine nature.
The Bible testified of his being divine: “Suddenly, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit began shouting, “Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” Jesus cut him short. “Be quiet! Come out of the man,” he ordered. At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into comvulsion, and then came out of him.” (Mark 1: 23-26). Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
CHARLIE, KIM’S VARIED REACTIONS
(DIST. 1) Councilor Charlie Mariano who took over from sacked Dist.2 Councilor Elong Natividad as the city council’s new majority floor-leader, on Wednesday said it was the right thing to do on the part of the beleaguered erstwhile majority floor-leader to explain his side on the issue of his own removal from his two vital posts.
ASIDE being yanked out as the council’s majority floor-leader, Natividad was also ousted as Chair of the Committee on Peace & Order.
ONE former city councilor astoundingly expressed his views when interviewed last week by this corner: “The removal of Councilor Natividad from his two major posts in the council, is the first ever to happen in its August Body. It never happened during our days.”
“Bueno man kel ya combersa c Councilor Elong Natividad. Ya abla tamen le suyu lao serca se issue on his removal as the majority floor-leader and as chairman of the peace & order.Yo personalmente, being one of those occupying sensitive positions, I respect fully his opinion,” Mariano reacted in chaglis.
HOWEVER, Councilor Mariano insisted it was purely a political decision on the part of the majority in the council.
“We were not influenced by anybody. It was purely a decision of the council without any reference to any other issue,” Mariano stressed.
IN his privilege speech during the council’s regular session on Tuesday morning, Natividad urged that a thorough probe on the rice smuggling issue be pursued, as he strongly denied circulated reports linking him to the supposed irregularity.
FOR his part, when separately interviewed on Wednesday, Dist. 2 Councilor Juan Climaco “Kim” Elago II, appeared enraged by a supposed existing blue book in the hands of a rice trader, willing to come out in the open to expose what he/she knew about “local leaders” whose names are listed in the said blue book.
“Show us the blue book! Dale anay mira cunel blue book. Baca’ storia lang se,” Elago expressed his strong doubt.
ON his reaction to Councilor Natividad’s privilege speech, Kim Elago said he had earlier advised the embattled city dad from his neighborhood in Brgy. Tetuan not to anymore magnify the issue by yet coming up with his privilege speech.
“Para cosa man? Ya bira lang otrabes el storia.Komo ya ase lang tu grande cunel irida. Ya abri lang tu cunel irida otrabes(What for? You simply opened the wound anew. It was as if you aggravated your own wound. Because, that was the act of the majority, and you cannot question it. Of-course, it really hurts.),” gloomily Elago described Natividad’s plight.
THE lawyer-city legislator had earlier depicted his own depressing fate in the past when he was similarly removed arbitrarily from his major chairmanships in the council when he virtually went up in arms vs. the administration of then Mayor and now Dist. 1 Cong. Celso Lobregat.
“Komo ta abla sila, weather, weather lang se. Re kamo aura, baca’ ay tupa tamen caniño al gun dia,” the veteran city dad Elago sharply remarked during the council’s maiden session, the day the topnotch city councilor from district 2, was booted out from his two vital posts in the August Body.
