ON Judgment Day, two books will be opened—the book of works and the book of life. Those works of ours—all! As we can’t hide all our deeds from the sight of God. Thus, even the strand of our hair is numbered in Heaven. These two books are kept in Heaven, and mankind’s deeds and misdeeds are all recorded in their totality in their contents.
THIS can be said so in the Scriptures: “AND, I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. And, anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20: 11-15). ZC GOV’T MAKING HARD ON LECHONEROS?
A DUEL in the making, or is it now actually being dueled that furiously?
IN separate interviews by this corner last week, both sides are just raring to ram through each other’s throat.
CITY Veterinarian Dr. Mario Arriola responded thoroughly well that TF “Karne” has been formed by our city mayor’s office in a bid to address the supposed rampant violation of our City Ord. # 93016 by our local lechoneros.
“This City Ord. 93016 was promulgated for the use and regulation of our city slaughter house, and for other purposes. If their meat fails to pass our meat inspection, or if no inspection done on their meat by our meat inspectors, they’re “hot meat.” So, we confiscate them,” Dr. Arriola clarified.
THE city veterinarian prodded the public to demand from meat vendors their meat inspection certificate for the day, and if can’t be shown by them, “ I urge the public not to buy those uninspected meat or lechon, if they show nothing of such a prerequisite,” Dr. Arriola advised.
“This is to safeguard public health by making sure that the meat they buy are safe,” the city vet explained.
ON the side of the lechoneros association led by Sta. Maria brgy. captain Abelardo “Abe” S. Tan, they said: “So far our lechoneros association here is amenable to comply with our city ordinance. El cosa lang para kanamon dol malisut, ese dapat asa pa na city slaughter house. Dol first time man se ta susede na entero pais. Ke ay man roast pa na city slaughterhouse.”
KAP Tan revealed that they wrote officially an appeal letter to her honor City Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar regarding their current predicament, and that they’re expecting an answer from her the soonest possible time.
ASIDE hoping for a reconsideration on their case, how they wish that they’ll be furnished a copy of the newly-formed TF Karne guidelines, so their association can fully follow and comply with them.
“Quiere kame sabe, c pakimodo ba mga penalties, fines maga sanctions tan impose sila, because in the absence of any guidelines, we don’t know what to follow,” Kap Tan lamented.
“Quiere lang kame tamen pella para diamon derecho, cay dol ta mira kita, ta ase man sila dificil kunel diamon association,” he rued further.
TAN said their association has been in this business since 2009, and that all their members are duly registered business operators, complete with their business permits to operate.
He said their lechoneros association, if and when worst comes to worst, they’ll be constrained to stop operation until a win-win solution can be worked out.
“We’re just trying to voice out and fight for our rights also. We even try to convince those without yet business permits to operate in this kind of business, to already comply,” implored the young brgy. captain of Sta.Maria.
“Deberas c Kap dol husto man tamen. C man strike sila na bendida de lechon, adius, hinde animao mga occasion, komo kasamiento, birthday, debuts y otro pa grande occasion,” c Bogs bien sabe man gayot ta keda.
“Sabroso el lechon d kap Abe Tan,” c Ador ya aprecia.
