Compromising RP’s future further

(BY: ATTY. BATAS MAURICIO) LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail…” (Deuteronomy 28:43-44, the Holy Bible).

WHY PNOY IS NOT RESIGNING: OK, so let us assume that, by some sheer luck or miracle, it can be proved that President Aquino was the one who masterminded, the one who ordered its execution, and the one who should therefore be held liable for the police operation against terrorist Marwan in Mamasapano, Maguindanao where 44 Special Action Force officers and men were brutally killed. So what next?

Will any Filipino have the courage to file criminal, civil, and administrative cases against Aquino? Will a sufficient number of our countrymen be appropriately moved to hold him liable even if he is still in office? Is he not still too popular among, and still too greatly idolized by, many Filipinos so that it would be futile mounting moves to either compel him to resign or force him out of office?

Isn’t this what is happening now? Is he not refusing to resign or to at least apologize, despite the clear calls for him to step down because of his mishandling of Mamasapano, because he believes the Filipino people are still with him and would still support him, in much the same way that lawmakers and media, particularly the mainstream media, are still supporting him no matter what?

COMPROMISING THE COUNTRY’S FUTURE FURTHER: Indeed, the only thing that is preventing Aquino from resigning or stepping down now is his perception, shared evidently by those close around him, that he continues to enjoy popular support, the growing discontent about his perceived ineptness and incompetence notwithstanding.

In fact, his spokesmen have been openly saying that Aquino will not heed the calls for his resignation because not many Filipinos would really want him to resign or to step down, or because there are still millions out there who believe he must be allowed to go on, notwithstanding the obvious and evident blunders in his five years in office which can be attributed to no other but to him alone.

So, the question is, what is going to happen next? We will simply allow Aquino to continue ruling this country until the end of his term in 2016? And, perhaps, allow him and his government to commit more blunders that could compromise the future of this country further?

RP NOW CONTROLLED BY FOREIGNERS: If Aquino and his officials are not aware yet, it is clear that there is an on-going invasion and actual occupation and control of the Philippines now by foreign interests. Who can deny that all the profitable businesses and economic activities in the country at this point, even those which are Constitutionally-mandated to be reserved only for Filipinos, have already been taken away by foreigners?

Who can deny that even political positions which grant political power have been similarly grabbed away from Filipinos and are already in the hands of foreigners? Why, even a big part of the West Philippine Sea is no longer controlled by Filipinos, but by China, where Aquino’s roots came from. In all these, we have not seen any attempt by Aquino and his cabal to uphold and protect the interests of native Filipinos.

On the contrary, it is even clear that these intrusions by foreigners into the country’s economic, political, and social fabrics, have the permission and consent of the highest echelons of power in the country. This is the reason why the best that the Philippines has to offer are now being enjoyed by foreigners alone, while Filipinos fight one another for the crumbs, in their own land.
