WHEN Jesus Christ our Lord confronted the Jews during his time here on the earth, he told them, “Destroy this temple and in 3 days, it’ll rise again.” (John 2: 19).
THE Jews never understood his message, and instead ridiculed him.
JESUS was actually referring to his own body where God can dwell when free of any unrighteous seed or what’s now known in the Kingdom Age, as the serpent seed. Email: jayfeliciano2yahoo.com.
COUNCILOR Jerry Perez, the Liga Ng Mga Barangay Pres. and Chair on Peace & Order, defended the council resolution, commending Dist. 1 Cong. Celso Lobregat for the latter’s strong role in the Lower House on the BBL issue.
“If they want to pass their own resolution commending also certain personalities on the BBL issue, they should go for it, but please don’t deny this one from the barangay sector as that’s their right to do so,” Perez argued when interviewed by the press after the session was adjourned last Tuesday..
During its discussion on the matter, Councilors Kim Elago, Rommel Agan (both from Dist. 2) and Mel Sadain from Dist. 1, were critical on Perez’ move to laud Lobregat for the latter’s supposed commendable posture as a one-man crew in a bid to cure those flaws in the proposed BBL, prior to its imminent enactment into law by our bicameral house system in Congress.
“How about our Dist. 2 Congresswoman Lilia Nuño and our lady Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar? Don’t’ tell us they don’t work also. If we commend one like our Dist. 1 Cong. Celso Lobregat, let us also commend the the rest who are also working hard for the good of ZC with regards to this BBL issue,” they snapped back.
BUT, known ace opposition Dist. 1 Councilor Jawo’ Jimenez defended Perez’ proposed resolution in commending Lobregat, stressing it’s the right of the Liga Ng Mga Brgy, led by its Prexy Councilor Perez to make their own manifestation in commending a certain personality like Cong. Lobregat, if they see it fit to do so.
IN the end, when the nominal voting came, 11 voted in its favor while the remaining few— like Sadain, Kim elago, and Agan, voted against. Hence such a commendation bestowed on Cong. Lobregat, was approved by the majority.
