HEAVEN is beyond description. There were a few of them who experienced in their lifetimes and were recorded, how they reached a place they called Heaven. One of whom God called to experience Heaven in his lifetime was St. Paul, the Apostle of the Gentles. He said( as revealed in the Bible): “I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago( whether in the body, I cannot tell, or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth:) suc an one caught up to the third heaven.” ( 2 Corinthians 12: 2). “Do it fast, and work closely with them. Don’t quarrel with them,” came the unsolicited advice of Prof. Elbert “Bong” Atilano when interviewed by this corner last Tuesday.

ATILANO said during his short stint as President of Zamcelco what he did really was to closely coordinate with the three major gov’t agencies having to do with the ECs(Electric Cooperatives) like our Zamcelco, and these are Department of Energy(DOE), Energy Regulatory Commission(ERC) and National Electrification Administration(NEA).

I used to be frequenting Zamcelco then when “Bong” (as he’s fondly addressed), instead of quarreling with these agencies, he challenged them, to the point, though with all diplomacy— they agreed what he was doing for the welfare of Zamcelco. And, this resulted to NEA’s close look into the plight of Zamcelco that really helped address its system’s loss to the minimum compared now that has even skyrocketed to more than 20% ( system’s loss).

ATILANO also agreed to San Ramon Power, Inc.(SRPI)’s desire for Zamcelco to already expedite its plan to come up with its enhancement program that it’s pushing prior to finally commencing the construction of its ambitious $12 billion coal-fired power plant that’ll ultimately help Zamcelco provide its required power need of something like 85mw.

ATILANO said no one in business like SRPI, would like to gamble and lose in the end.

“They have to make sure also that their financial investment that so much, won’t simply go to the drain,” according to Atilano.

HE again counseled Zamcelco: “Work fast, and work closely with them( DOE, ERC, NEA).”
