Who says Mannix is rare to find?

(Enlightenment—Passage of the Day)
DON’T we try to understand God’s wisdom, knowledge and understanding, or we end up a fool. Just believe and that’s faith.
JESUS said to his doubting Apostle, Thomas: “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into my wound in my side. Don’t be faithless anymore. Believe!
“My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed. Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.” (John 20: 27-29). Email:
AS far as threats from the CCP/NPA are concerned, our city has nothing to fear. We don’t have them here, for sure.
WHAT we have in our city are the persistent threats of the bandit groups— the most potent of all is the extremist Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) that continues to wreak havoc in our urban centers since its birth in nearby autonomous island province of Basilan  in the late l980s.
But NPAs? They can’t penetrate the bandits’ turfs here. So, don’t worry about their resumption of hostilities  in Mindanao following the collapse of the revived GRP-NDF/CPP/NPA peace talks under the current Duterte administration. I don’t think theirwar will escalate to this far.
WE’RE more worried of our own war here that’s even deadlier for our gov’t forces to fight not only the ASG but the other bandit groups, as well. What’s even more alarmingis this fresh report about the recently-uncovered presence of the global IS threat in our territory.
THIS is what everybody fears, now.
A city prosecutor in Surigao City was shot and seriously wounded just the other by his unknown attackers. Atty. Manuel Navarro Tesiorna, Jr. was rushed to a nearby hospital, and was believed to be in critical condition.
LAST January, their (retired) 70-year old Judge Victor Amalio y Canoy was gunned down, as well. The murdered former judge of its RTC 10TH, branch 29 based in Surigao City, was reportedly killed also by unknown gunmen.
MOTIVES behind their gun-slayings are still unknown, according to news reports.
IN same manner, there are sectors here who keep on asking as to what has happened to the Judge Estacio murder case?
THE late Judge Estacio (forgot his first name) was shot to death by an unknown assailant while reportedly driving his own car bound for home in Brgy. Tugbungan. His brutal killing happened a few years ago.
A lot of his supporters are asking, “Where’s now our (Dist.2) Cong. Mannix Dalipe? We miss him a lot.”
I was asking back same question, andwas wonderingas to why, indeed?
Until, I finally saw him one morning just this week— so in a hurry to catch up his important appointment, just in time.
“Jun, ketal?” He greeted me as I was browsing the latest news from our local daily (Zamboanga Today) made available at the lobby of Grand Astoria Hotel in Sucabon for its various customers to read.
“Oh, Cong., they miss you a lot. Cuando pa tu?”
“See me later, apurao yo,” he replied back as he got fast inside its waiting elevator on ground-floor that took him up somewhere toits upper story.
See? Cong. Mannix is just around—only he’s too busy to see you and me. (By Jun Feliciano) (30)
