Everyone thought that the weekend of La Bella was fully pristine, but not what it seemed. Unbelievably, there were possibly four cases of rape which were reported amongst the different police stations we have in the City. The two bigger ones were that in Baluno, of the West Coast, and in Sta. Maria.
A 7-year old girl was missing for few hours last Sunday evening—February 19. The family of the latter asked the help of their barangay tanods. In no time, the young girl was found, in some 30 meters, away from their house and was already lifeless. Rocks were found beside her. The inference of the police investigator was those same rocks were used, by the killer, to smash the head of the victim, which definitely caused to her instantaneous death.
One of those rocks could weigh to as much as 20 kilograms. The victim was found in a very grassy and empty space, close to their house. But because, when she was missing, the nighttime was pretty dark already, so that she was not right away found by the people who sought her. Besides, the police said that the former’s family did also report to the authorities the incident quite late then. Thus, the necessary help of the latter came late also
Rape is one of the angles, which the Ayala police is theorizing as to the motive of the killing of the victim. Although such is not yet conclusive. But the police did take some samples for the necessary lab exam, to determine their suspicion. Accordingly, as to the writing of this article, there were certain personalities which were invited by the Ayala Police for questioning.
Now, on the other hand, the Sta. Maria Police Station had 2 rape cases also, while another one in Divisoria Police which was accordingly committed in Lunzuran. But the one that surely raised the brows of our City police was about this 17-year old lady, who was found by a sikad driver wandering in the road of Sta. Maria, the early dawn of yesterday. She was walking in the highway, as if not in her mind already. She was helped and brought by the sikad driver to the Sta. Maria Police.
Allegedly, the lady was uncontrollably mumbling that she was raped by her own father. The case is now in the hands of the police. Such is indeed very alarming. Fathers are the protectors of their own families. They also have the moral ascendancy to their children. Such authority is extremely sacred, so that when it is violated, the error will then be irreparable.
Along the discussions of the duo hosts partners GIL Climaco and Rey Bayona Bayoging (RBB), yesterday morning, on their primetime program, they pounded the necessity of the immediate and possible imposition of the capital punishment, to probably deter the escalation of heinous crimes,in our entire country.
It is fearsome nowadays, because with regards to rape, fathers and other closer relatives are mostly the culpritsin the commission of the crime. The other factor which must be curbed is also the killing of their victims, to maybe absolutely conceal their identity. The age of the victims are then as well raising the concern on the matter of public order. These three scary scenarios are the very reasons why both the President and his party-mates, in the Philippine Congress, are so motivated to restore the death penalty, ASAP.
Anyways, what is your personal opinion on the matter? Do you think such may help permeate then a natural deterrence to recede potential crimes in the country? We have illegal drugs, poverty and the deluge of pornography, which are the perfect concoctions to turn a normal mind to be brute and even demoniac. Thus, our law-makers cannot just sleep and do nothing, while the rampage all over are now almost beyond control.
Just think of it, how in the world cana father desecrate his own daughter; or any offender can kill a 7-year old girl, in just a close proximity to the house of the latter. Barangay eMedia’s presumption toparents is, who may read this article, theycan also be fully infuriated of the mentioned news. It is a natural thing that they may readily feel the immediate empathy to the victims. God be merciful to our generation and to our beloved La Bella.
“The LORD is a jealous and avenging God;the LORD is avenging and wrathful;the LORD takes vengeance on his adversariesand keeps wrath for his enemies. The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and the LORD will by no means clear the guilty. His way is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.He rebukes the sea and makes it dry;he dries up all the rivers;Bashan and Carmel wither;the bloom of Lebanon withers.” (Nah. 1:2-4, ESV)
