(Enlightenment—Passage of the Day)

Q.) WHAT ARE THE 2 KINDS OF HEART IN THE SIGHT OF GOD?

A.) “WHOEVER HEARETH THESE SAYINGS OF MINE, AND DOETH THEM, I WILL LIKEN HIN UNTO A WISE MAN, WHICH BUILT HIS HOUSE UPON A ROCK. AND THE RAIN DESCENDED AND THE FLOODS CAME, AND THE WINDS BLEW, AND BEAT UPON THE HOUSE, AND IT FELL NOT, FOR IT WAS FOUNDED UPON A ROCK. AND EVERY ONE THAT HEARETH THESE SAYINGS OF MINE, AND DOETH THEM NOT, SHALL BE LIKENED UNTO A FOOLISH MAN, WHICH BUILT HIS HOUSE UPON THE SAND. AND THE RAIN DESCENDED, AND THE FLOODS CAME, AND THE WINDS BLEW, AND BEAT UPON THE HOUSE, AND IT FELL, AND GREAT WAS THE FALL OF IT.” (MATTHEW 7:24-27). Email: jayfeliciano2@yahoo.com

ELONG ELECTEDAS NEW BAP PRESIDENT

Former Dist. 2 Councilor Roel “Elong” B. Natividad attains optimal fame in BAP (Basketball Association of the Philippines), finally. Last Saturday (June 17), he became this year’s BAP national President when all its regional chapter heads across the country elected him as their new big boss, nationwide.

“Elong” as he’s familiarly addressed by the local folks here, called up Pencing to confirm the news about him being catapulted to BAP helm when an annual assembly-meeting was held on Saturday in Metro Manila to elect its new set of national officers.

THE former city legislator, therefore, becomes the first Zamboangueño to ever get elected as BAP head, nationwide.

To my understanding, BAP takes charge of all the country’s basketball tournament activities with its rules & regulations strictly being followed to ensure the success of all their annual cage tilts held in the various key cities, provinces and municipalities under its strict supervision.

HENCEFORTH, to ex-Councilor Elong Natividad, our big Congrats to you! The Zamboangueños are proud of your new milestone in the world of sports. More Power!

Irrefutably, your unselfish contribution in local sports is paying off.

ELONG’S PRESENT ROLE IS PROOF

YOUR present role outside politics, is indeed a blessing in disguise.

Right now, you’re undeniably pre-occupied with lots of opportunities, awaiting right on your doorsteps.

“Elong” writes a daily column, “Sports-long” with local daily Zamboanga Today.

He also writes for Daily Zamboanga Times twice weekly— tackling affairs of our 98 barangays.

“Elong” also anchors his daily radio program over DXVP (1467 am) of the Catholic Media Network(CMN) with yours truly “Pencing” co-hosting the show every Monday to Friday (4pm to 5pm).

ASKED about his future political plan, Elong said, “Espera lang acabar June 30(Just wait until June 30).”

Aba, cosa gaha’ quire decir se? (Just what does it mean, huh?)

IN Elong’s own by word, “Esperalang, cay as llega lang man.”
