NO TRUMPETING OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS

HE isn’t trumpeting his accomplishments, and that’s a sterling quality in a leader: humbleness.

DIST. 2 Cong. Mannix Dalipe recently announced his big plan/program in his being a member of the Lower House representing the city’s biggest district, that’s district one where his main base isits east-coastal section with a total of 61 barangays, that his proposal to build a superhighway in the city’s east-coast, is no longer just a dream, but, soon, indisputably, a dream come true. It’ll, according to him, help resolve the city’s perennial traffic woes—particularly in those renowned saturated villages of the adjoining barangays of Tetuan, Tugbungan, Talon-Talon and even their peripheries that gravely affected, as well.

HE said he was able to lobby huge funds in Congress for its very said purpose. Cong. Mannix, like his father, our former local chief executive Manny Dalipe, has full of vision and mission for la bella Zamboanga. His dad former Mayor Dalipe succeeded our late legendary Mayor Cesar C. Climaco who met his untimely death, when in Nov. 14, 1984, a lone assassin shot him fatally in the head with a handgun while inspecting an early morning blaze along Buenavista St., Brgy. Camino Nuevo. By a coincidence, our compoblanos commemorated his 33rddeath anniversary only yesterday (Nov. 14) that’s traditionally being done first and foremost, with the laying of a wreath at his tomb situated in Mt. Abong-Abong, Brgy. Pasonanca.

TO Cong. Mannix, More Power!

BENG WANTS ALL COLLECTIONS LIQUIDATED

LADY Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar is very specific in her statement issued during her weekly CH press briefing with the local media last Monday. She’d want that all collections made for any affairs of the city, regardless, they’re in the form of sponsorships, donations or any for that matter, be properly spent

vis-à-vis liquidated, as well. She urged the office of the City Treasurer to heed this pronouncement of her, as she repeatedly stressed her governance, as the city’s local chief executive, is open for public scrutiny. In short, she’s espousing for total transparency in her administration. Debe lang gayot. What with the FOI (Freedom of Information) of Pres. Duterte as the latter’s benchmark in serving his nation, our lady hizzoner can’t do otherwise but follow the leader. By such a strong pronouncement on her part, protocol should be followed first before they do any possible stupid move.

NOW, here comes the persistent longing of our perturbed sectors,”We want COA! We want COA!”Ese pa.. para sabe ya gayot c quien ba lli rascal mga mano. (By Jun Feliciano)  (30)
