The child was stabbed twice in her neck. With bolo!

Insp. Exequiel Laguna led personnel of Police Station 6 in conducting a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of the suspect, identified as Gapor Alkasahaya y Yusop, 50, married, a resident of Masepla 3, Mampang, this city.

The police spotted Gapor after the incident, still armed with a bolo. The suspect resisted arrest and attacked the authorities prompting them to shoot him.

He deserved the bullet. As a matter fact a finishing act should have been executed on him. Persons like that do not deserve to live one second more in this world.

Now more than ever, SS is convinced, Bongbong Marcos is the nation’s rightful claimant to the vice presidential seat. Supreme Court Revisors conducting a recount of votes in the contested 2016 Vice Presidential race have uncovered one other poll irregularity - missing voters receipts from several ballot boxes from Balatan town in Camarines Sur, the home province of sitting VP Leni Robredo.

Requesting anonymity for lack of authority to speak for the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), an insider revealed that this irregularity could mean that the votes cast by the voters are not the results transmitted by the vote counting machines.

The source said the missing voters’ receipts is required by law to be part of the documents to be included in the ballot boxes.

“Their absence in some of the ballot boxes is an indication that they were removed or really not included because the votes there will not tally with the machine count,” the source added.

During the first week of recount, multifarious irregularities have been discovered. From several wet ballots inside boxes from Bato and Baao towns as well as Naga City in Camarines Sur to unused or excess ballots with shaded votes for Robredo, with ballots cut into half.

Audit logs from clustered precincts in Bato town were also found to be missing.

The camp of former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. claimed that these discoveries could be proof of election fraud. But Robredo’s lawyer alleged that the former senator was only trying to taint the results of the recount and twisting the developments to favor his protest.

Documents, guys, speak for themselves.

Marcos filed the protest right after the elctions, claiming massive fraud.

With mounting discoveries of clear anomalies, Marcos could just be proven correct.

And as things stand, there could be very few ballots left untouched. And from a layman’s point of view, all this could be justifications to nullify the votes in the contested areas.

And the winner is… Alama na!

The historic oral argument conducted by the Supreme Court (SC) on the petition to oust on-leave Chief Justice Maria Lourdes P. A. Sereno as head of the judiciary ended at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Sereno appeared personally and answered, under oath, the questions from her colleagues.

Amid all this, tempers flared as Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno locked horns with some of her colleagues in highest court of the land during oral arguments to invalidate her appointment as the country’s top judge, bypassing an impeachment process in Congress.

And the process could be very short.

Both Sereno and Solicitor General Jose C. Calida, who filed the quo warranto petition in behalf of the government, were given 10 days each or until April 20 only to submit their respective memorandum in amplification of the oral arguments.

And Acting Chief Justice Antonio T. Carpio said no extension on the period to file the memorandum will be entertained.

After the filing of the memorandum, the petition for quo warrranto is deemed submitted for decision.

And the winner is… Duterte. (By Jimmy Cabato)
