(Enlightenment—Passage of the Day)

Q.) HOW DO WE PRAY TO GOD, LEST WE ARE ACCURSED IN HIS SIGHT?

A.) “WHEN YE PRAY, USE NOT VAIN REPETITIONS, AS THE HEATHEN DO; FOR THEY THINK THAT THEY SHALL BE HEARD FOR THEIR MUCH SPEAKING.” (MATTHEW 6:7). Email: jayfeliciano2@yahoo.com

ANOTHER DAD NEARS HIS EXIT?

AFTER the supposed celebrated ouster of sacked Dist. 1 Councilor Charlie Mariano from the Sangguniang Panlungsod sometime last April (or did it happen much earlier this year?), and for new Councilor Lit-Lit Macrohon of same district to take over his vacated seat, for being no. 9 in the last May2016 local pollsin said district, another member of the August Body will soon make his own disgraceful exit.

A top legal luminary told this corner the other day that it’s now pretty obvious that this next alderman to be axed by the local court, has to only blame himself, and that it certainly looks like his days are already numbered by the presiding judge that hears his case from day 1. “The judge that hears his case appears he already bags a sure verdict against him(respondent) in this particular case at bar, and it’s just a matter of time to hand him a verdict that’ll have a grievous effect on his young political career –to include perpetual disqualification from holding public office in any future whatsoever, apart from imprisonment for alleged malversation of public funds,” the lawyer who spoke on condition of anonymity, bared.

I told the lawyer I’ll be badly saddened if such a perceived adverse verdict will be enforced against this novice councilor, for to me, he’s one of the most promising young politicians ever to come to the fore amongst the pure true-blooded Zamboangueños in these millennial days.

So, God bless them(the millennials).

“RED” TEAM HELD CAUCUS ALREADY?

THE red (colorao) team, according to my grapevine, has already held their caucus in preparation for the coming May 2019 local/national polls that’s less than just a year by now.

“Yes, it’s true Jun, they already held a caucus this early, and they started to re-align their possible complete lineup for the May 2019 political showdown with Mayor Beng’s yellow camp,” the source in a whim disclosed.

It’s no surprising then, that I’ve seen a lot of my past friends under Dist. 1 Cong. Celso Lobregat’s red team making themselves quite visible, once again, these days. Didn’t I see some like ex-councilors Mel Sadain, Gerky Valesco, VP Elago, Noning Biel, Rey Candido, and even, accordingly, Percy Ramos making their own rounds—of course their nexus still very much that of Cong. Celso’s red team?

“Jun, nuay mas ba otro mga candidato c Cong. Celso? Dol amo amo yalang man siempre sila? Cosa ba gayot sila ya puede hace para bien del ciudad diatom ki? Nuay gane,” a longtime political aficionado here rued. Ese pa.
