Que horror. Mea culpa. Sorry. SS seemed off tangent on this yesterday. Noticed I only upon yranslating it to chabacano for his Monday to Friday commentaries on RM_Zamboanga. Read -

“Reconsider its ruling? An adage goes - “Only fools don’t change their minds.”

How do you, folks, size up the mentality of SC justices - fools to change their minds?

Unlikely. Say you?”

Got the wrong logic? The adage should have been an adulterated version to read minus the ‘don’t,’… “Only fools change their minds.”

5th July is tomorrow. If the Western Mindanao Power Corporation (WMPC), a major private supplier of electricity to the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Zamcelco), makes good its threat to cut power generation here, if  Zamcelco does not pay its past due accounts amounting to more than P300 million, we are in  for troubled days and much more of nights.

In a letter of demand to Eng. Edgardo Ancheta, general manager of Zamcelco, Mr. Edgar D. Sevilles, WMPC vice-president and business manager for diesel operation, said that Zamcelco’s debt to, a subsidiary of Alsons’, is now at  P301,791,767.57.

He explained that a huge portion in WMPC’s monthly power bill goes to fuel which is about 91 percent of total expenses.

And even more problematic for the city will be on the 24th. If and when Zamcelco would not pay its April billing, WMPC will cease to supply its entire power allocation to Zamcelco until said due accounts are fully paid, Sevilles stressed.

WMPC supplies 50 megawatts of power to Zamcelco which is more than half of the power demand of Zamboanga City.

SS smells troubled times ahead.

The Police Regional Office- 9 (PRO-9) is inviting public support to its “Adopt a Dog Program.”

The move is aimed at providing operational support through canine augmentation to K-9 units of the PRO-9 and its  Explosives and Ordnance unit.

The project involves allowing pet owners whose dogs pass qualifications to allow their pets to be trained in the field of detection capabilities.

Sr. Supt. Faro Antonio O. Olaguera, Regional Chief Directorial Staff of PRO9, said the general welfare of the animal is still under the owner’s responsibility.

But of course, which pet owners will leave his/her pet in the custody of others, but for services in and outside their residences, they will. .

This is what they get for absences in required seminars/briefings. A total of fifteen (15) Sangguniang Kabataan kagawads will not be able to assume their posts because of their failure to attend the SK mandatory training last month.

Jun Cillio, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) chief operation officer, said “Nohay sila abuya therefore they will not be allowed to assume office,”

Cillio still awaits further word on the plight from higher-ups

The 22-member Consultative Committee, which was formed by President Rodrigo Duterte nearly five months ago, on Tuesday unanimously approved the final draft of the proposed Federal Constitution, dispelling fears of a term extension for Duterte.

The draft that former Senate Pres. Aquilino Pimentel, jr. initially moved for approval was unopposed.

The meat of the released initial story, to SS reads, “The heart of the proposed Federal Constitution involves the giving of more power to the regions to govern themselves instead of leaving such powers to the often distant central government in Metro Manila.

Interestingly missing is that part on Anti-Political Dynasty. Such is one issue open to serious thoughts.

The standard objection to that is, “Porque sanga el corrida?, el jente man ta vota cun quien sila quiere.” (Why bar one from running,? After all it it people who vote who they choose.)

Simple.  (By Jimmy Cabato)
