(Sharing Time): Word of God is sharper than two-edged sword

PDFPrintE-mail

IF God is with us, who can be against us?

(Romans 8:31). This is it, my brothers and sisters. So, therefore, don’t be afraid of mere mortals who can kill only our body but never our soul. Let’s therefore, be afraid of Him who can kill both our body and soul into the torments of the fires of hell. (Matthew 10:28).

The sword of the spirit is the Word of  God (Ephesians 6:17). For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12).

This is the very reason why the Word of God can even give Eternal Life. “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”(Matthew 24:35).

When our lord Jesus Christ spoke those Words as He shouted the name of Lazarus who was already dead for four days, what happened to Lazarus, then? Lazarus lived again. Jesus cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth! And he (Lazarus) that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin, Jesus saith unto them, loose him, and let him go.” (John11:43-44).
