KASANYANGAN’S NEW ROAD

STARTS CONSTRUCTION

Finally, it’ll be in full blast since it kicked off its commencement work last week. I’m referring to the start of the construction of the new road from Brgy. Kasanyangan up to Alfaro Rd. in Brgy. Tetuan.

“It’ll take 370 days or roughly a year for its full completion. We just started work the other day, about a week ago. It’s being done by contract,” City Engr. Chris Navarro revealed on Monday.

Navarro said this will definitely help ease traffic congestion in the area.

I believe so, considering traffic usually builds up to the hilt during peak hours, particularly, at the junction of Falcatan Rd.and the roads leading to its adjoining barangays of Tugbungan, Talon-Talon, Mampang and last Arena Blanco.

If we have that new road finally opened and in full-swing for the riding public after its 370-day completion or even less than the grace period given, or in short, less than the approximate year-long given, traffic will at-least get better as compared by now. Then, the Iturralde overpass construction proposal along Veterans Avenue from Pettit Barracks to Brgy. Upper Pasonanca existing through the yet to-be-completed bypass road that’s intended as a circumferential road linking east to west of our la bellaZbga, will become somewhat like its road network’s nerve center where its main nexus serves as the city’s traffic gateway towards extricating all plying motor vehicles to their own respective final destinations far and wide.

If all their plans will soon come true in the near future, then traffic in La Bella will even become a thing of the past –one considered extinct, and never ever welcomed again, for goodness sake.

So, get it on City Engineer’s Office!

EYESORES NEAR SP CAN’T BE ADDRESSED?

Can anyone, most specifically our own city legislators, do something of the eyesores that thrive just near its Sangguniang Panlungsod’s premises? Those structures (Are they city-owned or national gov’t-owned?) fronting our SP building on RT Lim Blvd? These ugly structures appear like not properly looked into by our local authorities, to include our own august body made up of our own local legislators supposed to author good laws, never well implemented to the letter, like its own vagrancy law, or edicts to address vandalism in our “Asia’s Latin City.”

“Enfrente lang di-ila, maga consehales diaton, dol nuay sila keber. Bien umalin gayot mira cosa ta hace sos menor de edad, tiene di-ila claro gayot cay sila maga rugby boys,” noted the SP frequenters during its weekly regular session every Tuesday morning.  They added, “Our councilors themselves should better call the attention of our law enforcers like our policemen or those Compac of City Hall to clear those eyesores that have been there lingering within the area. They demean the image of our own Sangguniang Panlungsod, the city’s very own legislative body.”

Shame on you, for your apathy! Apathy has no place on our being public servant-leaders. No place at all! (By Jun Feliciano) (30)
