TOURISM is by far one of the best options for a country like ours to boom and bloom, in terms of drawing huge revenues. Singapore teaches us how tourism makes its own country one of the most progressive little nations to crow about right now. The Philippines is arguably larger than Singapore—geographically speaking. But comparatively speaking, in many various ways? Let’s accept the fact we’re miserably lagging behind. Yet, we’re far off better in terms of our vast natural resources. We’re like paradise as described to us by a lot of foreign tourists coming from their far-off countries in the West and even Europe and the Middle East where they have mostly their concrete jungles, so to speak, in dearth of any form of those verdant forested lands that we in the Philippines can boast of. But, look at the wonders of what Singapore can offer to all their visiting tourists? Just mind-boggling!

La Bella Zbga now embarks big on its world-class tourism market potentials, with Once Islas as its eye-opener. And this is a wise move on the part of our city gov’t under the stewardship of our lady Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar.

It’s an undeniable fact that in tourism our city can eventually generate its wanting huge revenues that’ll help do away its unabashedly oppressive taxation system on its own people who’re mostly poor. This is where we no longer add more burdens to them with all those known anti-poor tax measures enacted by our city at the behest of those in reins of City Hall. Now they have somewhere to turn to, for those needed large local revenues, instead of simply relying on our IRA shares from the national gov’t. With federalism currently being pushed through by the Du30 administration, we’re therefore right on track to welcome its federal form of gov’t that tends to get rid of our nation’s over-centralized type of governance.

Our La Bella Zbga is blessed with its vast wealth in natural resources and that includes its own unspoiled white sand beaches that’s majestically located in its Once Islas--just a few nautical miles off La Bella’s mainland situated in the east-coast. Let’s not allow our neighboring ASEAN countries, like Singapore, to outpace us on this aspect. The Philippines has it all. All we have to do is explore them and harness them to the hilt. Why can’t all of us unite as one for the sake of our la bella Zbga and our own people? Let’s now make it happen to attain this one major goal of ours in “Asia’s Latin City” that should better go hand-in-hand with its more glorious moniker of its past, “City of Flowers” or in chavacano that sounds all the more exotic and amazing, “Ciudad de Flores”.

Man ayudahan ya dao kita ki, instead of destroying one another by getting rid of that negative notion that unfairly typecasts us as despicably having that crab-mentality character in us Filipinos. If only we can do this, La Bella will definitely boom and  blossom in the very near future. I bet you we can do it. If Singapore can do it albeit all the odds facing them, then why can’t we, huh?
