Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go has assured that the national government under the present administration of Pres. Duterte will implement more infrastructure projects in Zamboanga City.

One of these projects, Go said, is the improvement of the Ayala-La Paz Road leading to La Paz Resort, stressing that the access road will further promote tourism in the city.

He also said the government is now upgrading the Siocon-Sirawai-Sibuco road connecting to La Paz in the west coast of the city.

Also, he stated that the Zamboanga Port is undergoing expansion.

Nice to hear that. Recall, however, Cong. Celso Lobregat, except for the port expansion has already announced the first two projects, as they came under his watch as Committee Chair of the Public Works and Highways, and still Deputy Committee Chair, Appropriations.

Cong. Celso Lobregat, Partido Demokratikong Pilipino (PDP) Zamboanga City coalition is leaving voters in suspense, baring they are leaving certain positions vacant until the last filing day of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) on 17, October 2018.

And he stressed, “Leaving key positions vacant does not mean that we are incomplete, but we are just in the selection process in order to fill a few gaps.”

He described the fight this-a-way, “This will be a main event, we will try to provide the best fighters from ‘Team Colorao…’’ where its members “… can work with us and serve the people properly, without fear or favor.”

Concluding, he bared, “… the key positions will be the last to be revealed until the day we prefer to file our candidacies”

In the manner Lobregat described the electoral fight, the main event, leaving key posts unannounced till the last filing date is one such other giveaway he is gunning for a return to City Hall - the mayorship.

Pres. Duterte is not inclined to declare nationwide martial law and fall for the trap of the communist rebel group, Malacañang said Wednesday.

“President Duterte sees no ground to declare martial law nationwide as the whole situation is under control,” thus proclaimed Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque.

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Gen. Carlito Galvez Jr. earlier claimed that the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) was trying to create chaos and force Duterte to declare martial law across the country.

Galvez declared the reds’ tactic is a political death trap for the President as it is part of the communists ouster plot.

Roque said, “By sowing chaos through its Red October ouster scheme, the CPP hopes that a nationwide martial law declaration would spark people’s outrage. We will therefore not fall into this trap hatched by the enemies of the State,” he said.

The President earlier claimed that the communist rebels were conniving with opposition forces in a movet to overthrow his government next month. He later said some members of the military were also in cahoots with these forces.

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Asst. Sec. Mocha Uson has resigned her post in a move to ensure that Congress will approve the proposed budget of the PCOO.

Hours later, she announced openness to running for public office in the upcoming May 2019 midterm elections. But Uson, a known blogger and social media influencer, said she will base her decision on the comments of her supporters on her Facebook account.

Uson further said that she felt frustrated over how lawmakers continuously attacked her.

In the meantime, she said she will go back to being a full-time blogger where she could vent her criticisms against her detractors and administration critics.

In Pilipino, she said, “There are so many senators and congressmen who are annoying. They are too much! Just wait, I still have a blog, so we will vent our frustrations there. So we will fight, we will really, really fight! ” she said. (By Jimmy Cabato)
