(Enlightenment—Passage of the Day)

Q.) HOW CAN WE LIVE OUR LIVES WITH WISDOM FROM GOD?

A.) “IF YOU NEED WISDOM, ASK OUR GENEROUS GOD, AND GOD WILL GIVE IT TO US. HE WILL NOT REBUKE US FOR ASKING.” (James 1:5) Email: jayfeliciano2@yahoo.com

THE road to Calvary is on. They’ll soon be sentenced by their own constituents when “Judgment Day” comes. Their fate will be decided by our local electorate on 2019 midyear polls. Many will fall, and only the few will survive to start their supposed gigantic task, and that’s to supposedly be their own people’s servant-leaders. But, that’s not always the case when they eventually assume their respective elective posts.

Last Friday, Oct. 5, the red team under its ace skipper Dist. 1 Cong. Celso Lobregat already paraded its almost completed lineup--except for the vice mayoral seat. It’ll still be a tossup between Dist. 2 Councilor Mike Alavar III and former Dist. 1 Councilor Mel Sadain. Later, this corner gathered another probable wannabe for Vice Mayor to run in tandem with Cong. Lobregat, will be Councilor Jerry Perez--the city’s Liga Ng Mga Brgy. President. Their wannabes are: (for congressman in Dist. 1)—Jomar Lobregat; (for Congress in Dist. 2)--ex-Congresswoman Lilia M. Nuño; for Councilors(in district 1), the following are incumbents Rudy Lim, Boday Cabato, Litlit Macrohon, former Councilors Noning Biel and Gerky Valesco, Kymer Olaso and Sinunuc Brgy. Chair Pilarica Ledesma. For Councilors (in district 2), the following have been chosen: incumbents BG Guingona, Lilibeth Nuño, former Councilor VP Elago, broadcaster Bong Simbahon, Lumayang Brgy. Captain & part-time media practitioner Frederick Atilano, Richard Mariano and Mark Saavedra.

FOR the yellow camp, Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar, as earlier announced (by herself) in one past CH weekly press-con (to quote her again): “You’ll know it by Oct. 17.” If she’s true to her words, then it’s set to be on the last day of the weeklong CoC filing (Oct. 11 to Oct. 17) for all candidates in the fast-approaching 2019 midyear elections.

NOW, the most-keenly awaited news to come from the LP or yellow team under our lady hizzoner: Who’ll be her vice mayoral bet? Will it be Dist. 2 last termer Councilor Meng Agan? Or will it be either lady Councilor Pinpin Pareja or her own spokesman former Dist. 1 Councilor Jawo Jimenez? Who’ll be her congressional bets for Dist. 1 and Dist. 2? Will it be Councilor Sang Jimenez, Jawo Jimenez, or Councilor Bong Atilano?

But, the most-anticipated verdict to come from our lady Mayor Beng will be on Dist. 2 Cong. Mannix Dalipe. Will she keep him as her congressional bet just the same, or will it be her Vice Mayor Cesar Iturralde who’s now serving his third and last term, as well?

This could be the flavor of the month in the days to come. Abangan! (By Jun Feliciano) (30)
