Immorality always leads to disaster (Last Part)

PDFPrintE-mail

The Bible sets forth sexuality as one of God's good provisions for mankind. It does not teach that the sex drive is mere animal instinct, nor does it indicate that it is the result of sin. The Genesis account of creation depicts the Lord bringing Adam and Eve into the world as male and female, and makes it clear that even if sin had not entered the human race, the means of procreation would have been through sexual union.

But his relationship is not merely a biological function without real meaning, nor it is a casual act only intended to gratify physical desire. The mutual self-giving of the sexual relationship brings about a communication of total being. The full meaning of manhood and womanhood are most deeply expressed in this manner. God is pleased when the sexual act is an expression of pure love. This is possible only within marriage.

God's gift of sexuality can express true love only by people who are married to one another. And everyone should bring to marriage a pure body. The non-Christian Gentiles of Paul's day lived in the grip of sexual vice, slaves to lust because they did not know God. The Christians however, is not to love under the control of lustful passions, but to control his body for God's glory. He pleases the Lord by abstaining from every form of immorality, and exercises the gift of sexuality within marriage, bringing enrichment both to himself and his marriage partner.

If you are a professing Christian living in immorality, and if you seem to be getting by with your sin, you should be alarmed. The fact that the Lord is not chastening you may indicate that you are a phony or a bastard (Hebrews 12:6-7). On the other hand, if you continue the way you are going, you will become more and more enmeshed in the net Satan has spread for you.

No one should think he can avoid the consequences of sexual impurity, for God who established the moral law will avenged all who break it. Every unbeliever will be judged at the Great White Throne and received appropriate punishment. God will now allow anyone to escape the results of immoral conduct (1 Thessalonians 4:6).

Paul's declaration that God is “the avenger” of those who break the law (1st Thessalonians 4:6) has a direct application to our day. History reveals that whenever the majority deny the one true God, they are given over to lawlessness and immorality. The family structures becomes weak, government loses its ability to control evil, and the entire culture crumbles. (See Romans 18-28) Mankind today as rejected God, and the results can bee seen on every hand. Remember, immorality always leads to disaster.

TO GOD BE ALL GLORY AND HONOR.
