We have a living Savior and He is coming again (Part VI)

PDFPrintE-mail

In this glorious day of His reign, the age of vindication of the One whom they crucified and slew on a cross, all nature and all creatures will share in our redemption. Not a single thing which came under the curse because of Adam's sin will be for gotten. The last adam will redeem which the first Adam lost.

Of that future day we read: Behold, the days come, said the Lord, that I  will  raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth (Jeremiah 23:5). In other passages of scripture we read; they shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; there will be no poverty nor unjust inequality. And in Isaiah 33:24 we read: “Sickness will be unknown and death will be rare exception, for the “inhabitant shall not say, I am sick.”

During the personal reign of the Lord Jesus Christ war will be unknown. There will be no battle, no navies and no armies, no arsenals, no munitions plants, but all the ingenuity and invention of man will be turned into useful productions of implements of peace. Men shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruninghooks. Peace and universal prosperity will abound.

When the Kingdom is set up, all these signs which characterize the presence of the King will return, and we read in Isaiah 35, Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap like a deer and  the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert (Isaiah 35:5-6).

Animals made tame. Even the animal creation shall be changed and there shall be no more carnivorous beasts to waste and destroy and to prey one upon the other. That will be the glad day spoken of by the prophets in describing the time of Christ's reign. Read Isaiah 11:6-9.

Amid the violence and destruction of these days dare anyone assume that this glorious prophesy has ever been fulfilled? Even though we try to spiritualize these passages,by no stretch of the imagination can we say that this has ever been true. The earth today is filled with violence and destruction and growing worse all the time. If they history of man is to be our guide, then there can be only one thing in the future-the utter destruction of man by his own violence and wickedness.

After centuries of man's efforts to build a Utopia, we see the world in the greatest struggle of its history; barbarism and paganism threaten to engulf the nations, and satanic onslaughts endanger all that is precious and dear to the cause of liberty and prosperity. Is there then no hope? Must this carnage go on forever and ever until man has invented such engines of war that all of humanity must perish by its own invention?
No. Definitely No! The answer is this-JESUS CHRIST is coming back again, and when He comes the knowledge of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea, and men “shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they LEARN WAR ANY MORE” (Isaiah 2:4).Yes, JESUS IS COMING SOON,

TO GOD BE ALL GLORY AND HONOR.
