Viable option repeat once more, without apology for reception, that as the first promise in the Bible is concerning His coming, (Genesis 3:15) so the last promise in the Bible concerns His coming again. (Revelation 22:20)
God, who cannot lie, holds out a better hope than the gradual bringing in of the age of peace by man's feeble efforts. Instead, the Lord tells us that in the end-time we shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom. Violence and destruction will increase until He who said He would come WILL COME.
What a blessed thing to be able to look upon the present world conditions and see in them not the reason for despair and hopelessness, but the very signs which Jesus said would herald His soon return. He said, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28).
He has especially warned us not to be troubled at these things, but to know when these words come true that He is near, “even at the door.” o in this dark day, we can send forth the message, CHEER UP. God is still on the throne, even though the Devil may be in the saddle for the present. One of these days the KING will come, as He has promised.
Jesus said, In my Father's house are many mansions: If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also (John 14:1-3)
He is preparing a place into which He may take us before that great and terrible day of God's judgment breaks upon the earth. Of which the present violence is but the prelude. He will take us where we shall be far, far away from the deluge of blood and the scene of the earth's darkest hour.
How we should thank God that we know that before that soon-coming day is ushered in, we shall hear the shout from the air, and rise to meet Him, to be united with the love ones gone before, and to be safe in His presence forever. Are you ready? Oh, sinner, if you are not, there is still time. He is calling.
Flee from the wrath to come. You cannot save yourself, but Jesus died for you and paid the whole price of redemption. Do you believe? Will you receive Him now? The last words of the Lord before the cross were “I am coming again.” the first words He sent from back from Heaven were “I am coming again,” and the last promise in the Bible is “I am coming again.”
Peter tell us, but the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the nigh... (II Peter 3:10). And He that shall come WILL come, and will not tarry (Hebrews 10:37). Yes, We have a living Savior and He is coming again.
TO GOD BE ALL GLORY AND HONOR
