Is PAG-ASA truthful on scorching heat?

PDFPrintE-mail

LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you…” (Deuteronomy 28:45, the Holy Bible).

IS PAG-ASA TELLING THE TRUTH? Are we really being told the truth by PAG-ASA (or Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration) when they say temperatures are this high, or are recorded at certain levels---for example, 36.7 degrees Celsius for Metro Manila, 37.4 for Tuguegarao City and 37.1 for Cabanatuan City, last Sunday, April 29, 2012?
In other words, is PAG-ASA telling us the truth about the exact temperature we are experiencing? I am asking this question because in a news report noting the increased temperatures last Sunday, an official of the weather bureau was quoted as saying, “the temperature felt like 42 degrees Celsius”.

WATCH OUT: SCORCHING HEAT YET TO COME: If it felt like it was 42 degrees Celsius, the temperature must have been 42 degrees Celsius, not 36.7, not 37.4 nor 37.1, right? But why was PAG-ASA quibbling on this and not being forthright? Is it hiding something from us Filipinos? Does it not want us to know that it has become really hot in the Philippines? Any comment, PAG-ASA?
Whatever, I am of the conviction that the Philippines and the whole world will experience really hotter weather in the days to come. Whether global warming or climate change caused it or not, we have been warned by the Bible (Deuteronomy 28:15, 22) that for people who no longer listen to, and no longer obey, God, God will send the curse of “scorching heat and drought”.
Certainly, what we are experiencing now is not yet “scorching”. It is very hot, yes, but not yet “scorching”. Scorching heat means heat that has capacity to burn already, and that is what the Bible is saying that God will give to all unbelievers. Are we ready for this scorching and burning heat?

DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD CAUSES MADNESS: What can drive a father and a mother from Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Quezon City to conspire with one another so the father can rape his two minor daughters and even the children’s classmate? Drugs and liquor, that is what, if news reports are to be believed. But there is something more sinister in this story of parents going out of their minds, really.

The Bible, in its Deuteronomy 28:28, tells us why people get afflicted with madness and confusion of mind:” The Lord will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind…”

Why will the Lord do this? Deuteronomy 28:15 has the answer: “However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you…”

OMBUDSMAN & CJ’S DOLLAR ACCOUNTS: Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales treads on hallowed grounds with her order directing Chief Justice Renato Corona to answer complaints by political allies of President Aquino that he has some US$10 million stashed in banks. Since 1986, during the first Aquino presidency, the Supreme Court already laid down the rule: only the Supreme Court can investigate charges justices and judges. Let’s see what happens here.
