Guard shots dead head guard

The security chief of a government office was shot dead by a guard inside the compound of the Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Regional Office IX, along R.T. Lim Boulevard, this city, Monday night.

Police Station 11 Commander, Superintendent Ariel Huesca, identified the fatality as Resenciano Ramillano y Francisco, 49, married and resident of Barangay Divisoria, this city.

Huesca said, the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds on the head and at the back of his body.

He was rushed to Zamboanga Brent Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Huesca named the suspect as Julkipli Julkipar, of legal age, a security guard of Miravite security Agency.

Initial police investigation disclosed that the victim reprimanded the suspect for reporting to work late and under the influence of liquor.

Probers said that the confrontation resultedto the shooting incident.

The suspect hurriedly escaped towards the city proper after the incident.

Recovered from the crime scene were the issued security agency M16 Armalite Rifle and several spent shells.

The cadaver of the victim was claimed by his relatives for proper burial.

A manhunt operation was launched by the police for the possible arrest of the suspect. (Eugene A. Lasprilla)
