DA IX employees get loyalty, service awards

In line with their 119th anniversary, the Department of Agriculture (DA) recently held an Awarding Ceremony for Loyalty and Service for several of their employees at the Astoria Hotel, this city.

DA Regional Director, Constancio Alama said, the awarding ceremony is one of humble way of showing gratitude and appreciation to theie long-serving employees.

Revenues may be the lifeblood of the government in sustaining its various programs and social services, but it is the employees who serve as its backbone.

“We have to take care of our employees because our employees will be the one to take care of our clients, because they are part of the system in the same way our farmers and clients are also part of the system,” said Assistant Director for Policy, Planning, Research and Regulatory Melba Wee.

9 employees who have been in the service for 15 years were awarded with plaque of recognition and cash namely: Cherry Vic Cadiz, Mary Joy Flores, Stephen Gonzales, Marie France Jalao, Cynthia Litigio, Ahmad Nahul, Ma. Criselda Olarte, Josefina Sarad and Arcele Templa.

3 Service awardees for 20 years also received  a plaque of recognition and cash. They were Junas Araya, Wahida Majuddin and Darwin Lloyd Sulay.

The 5 Service awardees for 25 years who received a plaque of recognition, cash and a Gold service ring were Antonio Barredo, Eufracio Endaya II, Isabelito Montecino, Warlito San Juan and Babyline Omboy.

The 4 service awardees for 30 years in service who received a plaque of recognition, cash and a Gold service ring were Priscilla Jover, Carlito Larubis, Danilo Rodriguez and Felipenieta Tuzon.

5 Service awardees for 35 years also received a plaque of recognition, cash and a Gold service ring each. They were were Russendyll Acuña, Silvano Corpuz Jr., Ferdinand Gamorot, Isagani Jose and Rowena Pajes.

Service awardee for 45 years was Phil Dormitorio who received a plaque of recognition, cash and a Gold service ring.

There were also two awardees for special citation namely, Valerio Rajas Mateo and Rachel Ramos, who received a plaque of appreciation each.

Recognition was also extended to the 2017 Retirees. They were Erlinda Baldorado, Agapito Faustino, Abas Salim and Valeria Tolomia. They all received a plaque of recognition, loyalty award and retirement ring. (KIKAY DONGALLO)
