Man sells shabu to law enforcers, busted

A suspected seller of shabu was arrested by the Drug Enforcement Unit of Police Station 7 together with personnel of Task Force Zamboanga and Philippine Air Force at Sebastian Drive, Barangay Canelar, this city, Thursday.

Chief Inspector Joseph Ortega identified the suspect as Rolando Cabugcas y Aquino, alias Logging, 35, married and a resident of the same place.

Ortega said the suspect sold a sachet of alleged shabu to the operatives that resulted to his arrest, and the confiscation of four more sachets of the illegal drug along with the P200 marked money used in the transaction.

The suspect was conducted to the police station for further investigation.

A case for violation of R.A. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be forwarded to the Office of the City Prosecutor against the suspect.

An examination will be conducted by the Regional Crime Laboratory Office 9 on the confiscated alleged shabu. (Eugene A. Lasprilla)
