“The group came to Zamboanga City from Zamboanga del Norte to admit their family member at the Labuan Public Hospital for medical attention. But one of their companions, who hitched a ride with them, was armed with a handgun which led the police to conduct them to the headquarters for questioning,” police said.

Marcis now detained at the police station while a case for violation of R.A. 10591, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearm and Ammunition Regulation Act of 2013, will be forwarded to the City Prosecutor’s Office against him.
