The Western Mindanao Command yesterday disclosed there are still 11 kidnap victims being held captives by the Abu Sayyaf in Sulu.

Wesmincom spokesman Capt. Jo Ann Petinglay said the primordial concern of the Wesmincom chief. Lt. Gen. Carlito Galvez is to rescue the victims.

The relentless hot pursuit operations against the bandits will continue, Petinglay disclosed even during the holiday season.

She said soldiers will have the chance to be with their respective families during Christmas and the New Year.

“We are now preparing the list of soldiers and will divide them for the Christmas break,” Petinglay said.

She assured the soldiers who served and participated in the Marawi war will enjoy one-month vacation with their families.

Earlier, President Rodrigo Duterte assured the soldiers that they can avail the Christmas vacations with their families.
