Case filed against suspects in driver slay

The Tetuan Police Station (Police Station 6) headed by Supt. Hanjiri Langgal on Monday filed murder charges at the City Prosecutor’s Office against four suspects tagged as responsible for the brutal killing of a Kuliglig driver at Sunrise Drive, Logoy Diutay, Barangay Talon-Talon, this city last Thursday.

Supt. Langgal said that based on the evidences gathered by his police investigators the suspects were identified as Jason Gravador, James Ramos, Onggo Resurreccion and one still unidentified companion.

Langgal added that the case was already forwarded in the regular filing process docketed under NPS number IX-06-INV-17L-00475 at the City Prosecutor’s Office.

However, all the four suspects are still at large, but the police investigators said that they would still be charged in absentia.

Probers said that at about 10:20 p.m. of November 30, 2017 the victim Aljumar Ajijun, 32, married, of the mentioned place was driving his Kuliglig when he was shot by the suspects at Logoy Diutay, Talon-Talon.

Reports added that Aljumar was on his way to the barangay main road after ferrying a passenger when he was waylaid and shot by the assailant.

The victim suffered 5 gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital.

Police recovered 6 spent shells of Caliber .45 Pistol at the crime scene. (Eugene A. Lasprilla)
