Man shot dead by neighbor

An employee of Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) was shot dead by his neighbor in Bat Compound, Governor Camins Avenue, Zamboanga City on Saturday.

Police identified the fatality as Jeric R. Flores, 35, working as an intelligent agent of CAAP and a resident of Bat Compound in Governor Camins.

Jeric sustained five gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body, causing his instantaneous death.

Police identified the suspect as Ahmad Nasser Hawari, 35, also of the same place.

Case investigator, PO3 Geronimo S. Rabor Jr. of Sta. Maria Police Station  revealed that the victim was on his way home on board his motorcycle when the suspect shot him repeatedly upon reaching the inner portion of their neigbhorhood.

Recovered from the crime scene were six spent shells believed to be from a caliber .45 pistol.

A manhunt was launchedby the police  for the arrest of the suspect. (Eugene A. Lasprilla)
