Department store loses P56,000 to burglars

Unidentified burglars forcibly robbed a downtown establishment along Thomas Claudio Street, this city, and were able to cart some P56,250 in cash.

Central Police Station (Police Station 11) report disclosed that Julie Anne Lorenzo y Wee, 33, single, the manager of the New Ideal Trading reported to the police about the robbery-incident.

In her complaint before the Central Police Station, Lorenzo claimed that their store was robbed and the said amount was taken from his office.

Police ocular investigation conducted revealed that suspects destroyed the wood covering of the window to gain access into the store. They proceeded inside the manager’s office where they destroyed the drawer to get the cash.

According to the police investigators, the burglars switched off the breaker of the close-circuit television (CCTV) to stop it from recoding the robbery.

Investigator-on-case PO3 Alfeo Abonita is still conducting a deeper probe  for the possible identification and arrest of robbers. (Eugene A. Lasprilla)
