Lobregat meets 2nd batch of ‘Tulong Dunong’ beneficiaries

Congressman Celso Lobregat together with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the scholarship directors of the different tertiary public and private schools in Zamboanga City met over the weekend with the 2nd batch of beneficiaries of CHED’s Tulong Dunong Program.

More than 700 students from the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College (ZCSPC), Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST),Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU), Southern City Colleges (SCC),Pilar College and Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) attended the orientation that was held last September 8, 2018 at the ZCSPC gymnasium.

In his message to the students, Lobregat stressed the significance and importance of their studies.

“With the Tulong Dunong Educational Assistance, it is our hope that we can provide you with a good education and a chance for a better life. Someone once said, “ I cannot come back and start a new beginning, but you can start today to make a better ending,” Lobregat said.

“Tulong Dunong” is a continuing educational assistance program of CHED in coordination with the Office of Congressman Celso Lobregat. (Dexter Yap/PR)
