Close to 12,000 job opportunities will be made available during the 2-day job fair that will be organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Office – Public Employment Service Office (CSWDO-PESO) in collaboration with various agencies on Oct. 19-20 at the KCC Mall East Wing in Gov. Camins.

Dubbed as ‘Fiesta Hermosa Job Fair’, the event will be participated by at least 50 agencies – 35 local and 15 overseas. Of the total number of jobs that will be made available, 2,952 will be for local employment while 9,560 will be for placement abroad. The event forms part of the 2018 Zamboanga Hermosa Festival and in line with the City Government’s program to help address employment problem in the city.

The job fair will be open for high school graduates, college graduates of any course, skills training graduates of TESDA and other categories with ages 18 and above. Applicants are advised to bring their resume’ and other pertinent documents and must be in proper attire.

The job fair will be jointly undertaken by the city government with the Department of Labor and Employment, Philippine Overseas Employment Agency, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Technical Skills Development Authority and KCC.

As an added attraction, TESDA will offer free massage, beauty care and haircut during the 2-day event. The Social Security System (SSS), Philhealth and PAG-IBIG fund will also provide registration services and updating of membership. (Sheila Covarrubias/PR)
